TapIt Comes to the Region

Summer is here and so is TapIt. TapIt is a water bottle refilling network. Café owners sign up as ‘partners’ to provide clean drinking water to people who want to fill a reusable bottle when they’re on-the-go, away from their home or office. TapIt was developed to give people easy access to clean, sustainable tap water on the go, reduces bottled water waste, and allows people to live a healthier lifestyle.

Users can find ‘partner’ locations by using the search and mapping features at tapitwater.com (PC or Smartphone) or by downloading ‘TapIt Water’ from the iPhone App Store. For those with limited access to technology, TapIt provides printable city maps and stickers on the windows of ‘partner’ cafes.

There are currently over 200 TapIt locations in the metropolitan Washington region, and TapIt users will have access to over 700 business refill locations by this fall.
