Clean Air Partners Champion of the Year - Alyssa Boxhill
Clean Air Partners Champion of the Year - Alyssa Boxhill
During our Annual Celebration, we had the honor of recognizing Alyssa Boxhill as Clean Air Partners Champion of the Year. Alyssa is a Frederick County, MD resident who has demonstrated that one person can make a lasting impact on our region’s air quality. Alyssa is an active member of her employer’s Pedestrian Advisory Committee and Green Team. She also promotes Bike to Work Day and various bike and pedestrian initiatives, all of which have environmental benefits from commute alternatives.

Alyssa’s leadership, initiative and continuous promotion of alternative transportation and environmentally friendly activities made her an excellent recipient of the Clean Air Partners Champion award. Her impact may be difficult to quantify, but she has saved thousands of dollars, reduced congestion and improved air quality for all of Frederick County, MD.

She doesn’t just promote alternative forms of transportation; she attempts to commute to work by bicycle or alternative means every day of the year. In fact, she biked from Frederick County to Alexandria, Virginia to receive her Champion of the Year award, a 6 hour ride!
